• Practicing Organic • 100% Chardonnay • Hyde Vineyard (Carneros – Napa AVA) • Heavy Haire clay loam with clay subsoil • 65% Old Wente field selection planted in 1997 and 1999, 35% Calera clones planted in 2014 • Whole cluster pressed for phenolic delicacy • Native yeast and full native malolactic fermentation in barrel • Sur lies bâtonnage • Aged 20 months in 20% new French oak barrels (François Frères and Taransaud Beaune) • Traditionally fined for clarity, but unfiltered • 13.5% abv
