DESCRIPTION
The oldest existing bottle in the Langhe carries the script “Cannubi 1751” on its label. This was the motivation that prompted us, in 2002, to purchase a very small piece of vineyard, 3,000 m2, on the “bricco,” or peak, of this prestigious Barolo hill. The choice to maintain the nearly 80-year old vines in production, and to entrust them to the attentive care of the historic farmer, seemed only natural to us in order to respect the vineyard, an historical “relic of Barolo.” In the same spirit, this Cannubi wine will be released only when it is perfectly harmonious and mature.
