Cave de Lugny Macon-Lugny Couer de Charmes 2013 |
The Mâcon-Lugny place called "Les Charmes" is the flagship of the Lugny winery with a harvest exclusively from an emblematic plateau in the town of Lugny.
Within this plateau, a distinctive area of a few hectares has been isolated for its geological characteristics, a predominantly clay-marl soil on a limestone subsoil of Kimmeridgian.
The south-east orientation allows it to benefit from optimum sunshine and early maturation. The average age of the vines is over 40 years old.
From the isolation of the grapes to the vinification, two years of study of this zoning were necessary to measure the full potential of this terroir.
DRESS: golden gold, limpid and brilliant.
NOSE: very intense and expressive on exotic fruits, candied pineapple, with hints of grapefruit and gunflint.
MOUTH: very fruity, supple and concentrated at the same time, with a nice fat, on a mineral and refreshing finish, its style approaches that of the Mâconnais Crus.
