100 Points, Luca Gardini From three parcels of the vineyard of the same name, a Brunello of freshness and varietal identity. Nose of dogwood, then touches of bergamot and hints of caper fruit. Savory taste, density and persistence, with pleasant juiciness and return of citrus and undergrowth fruit."

96 points Wine Spectator An intense red, with blackberry, black currant, wet hay, leather, earth and iron aromas and flavors piercing the athletic structure. Almost delicate, with a dense matrix of tannins for support. Features fine energy and length.

95 Points, James Suckling Black-cherry, ash, bark and dried dark-mushroom aromas follow through to a medium to full body with a solid sense of tannin and acidity. Polished and focused. Needs time to soften a bit, but shows fascinating oyster-shell and iodine undertones.

95 Points, Kerin O'Keefe Intense and fragrant, the bold 2019 Banfi Vigna Marrucheto is a full-bodied stunner, boasting enticing aromas of camphor, mocha, baked plum, forest floor and leather. On the savory, enveloping palate, velvety tannins wrap around dried cherry, tobacco, and crushed mint

94 Points Wine Advocate Now in its proverbial third leaf (or the third vintage made),The bouquet is tight and powerful with all kinds of black cherry and wild currant aromas. The balance is good and so is the intensity of the primary fruit. Only the strong 15% alcohol content is out of place. This is a solid Brunello that will appeal to those who love the richer and more saturated side of Sangiovese. There is some sour cherry on the close, and the tannins would benefit from a few more years in the bottle.
