The Rosso di Montalcino from Carpineto shines with rich ruby red and delicate garnet red reflections in the glass. This nose of this pure Sangiovese is delightful with its fine cherry fruit, complemented by some elderberry, pickled sour cherries and further dark stone fruit. Dark, floral nuances of violets and delicate herbaceous hints complete the elegant bouquet of this Rosso di Montalcino.
On the palate, Carpineto's Rosso di Montalcino is velvety, round and excellently structured. The fullness and depth that one appreciates in great Brunellos can already be felt in this wine. A vital fruit acid, combined with harmonious tannins give this Rosso length and sound nice.
