Capitan Tequila Silver |
Country: Mexico
Type: Tequila
Tequila is a distilled alcoholic beverage made primarily from the blue agave plant in Mexico. Its origins can be traced back to a beverage called pulque, produced in Central America before the region was colonized by Spain in the 16th Century. Just like Tequila (which is technically a form of mezcal), pulque was fermented from pulped agave. The production process and choice of raw materials has become more refined over the centuries; modern-day Tequila is made only from the "heart" of blue agave (Agave tequilana Weber azul).

Surprisingly Smooth
While visiting some friends in Georgia just outside of Atlanta, we stopped at a restaurant for lunch and decided to take shots. We simply asked for 3 shots of tequila. Our waitress bought over 3 tall shots. We toasted and was surprised at the smoothness. So we asked what brand was it thinking it was one of our usual top shelf brands, and she responded, “it’s our rail tequila”. We were shocked because it was so damn smooth and ordered another round. Checked 3 local liquor stores after leaving the restaurant but couldn’t find the brand. After a quick Google search, we found it here at Wine Chateau. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.
