DESCRIPTION

Originating from the shores of the Rhine River in Alsace, this aromatic grape produces a fruity white wine.

VINIFICATION TECHNIQUE

This fresh white wine was made using the best Gewürztraminer grapes from the cool climate area of the Finger Lakes region in New York.  Extra hang time allows the spiciness of the variety to fully develop.  Sunny days and cool evening temperatures create ideal conditions for intense aroma and flavor development in the ripening grapes. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks where cool temperatures were maintained throughout the winemaking process to preserve the wine’s fresh, fruity and spicy aroma.

SENSORIAL DESCRIPTION

This wine has a pale silver straw color with aromas of lychee, white peach and exotic white flowers.  In the mouth, the wine is semi-sweet with a vibrant acidity with bright flavors, exotic spices and white peach with hints of minerality and a long crisp finish.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

Brotherhood Gewürztraminer pairs extremely well with crab dishes and spicy Asian foods like Thai, Vietnamese and even some Japanese dishes.  Dishes with herbs like cilantro and mint are also great pairings.
