DESCRIPTION

Craig and Claudia Broadley founded Broadley Vineyards in 1981 after travelling to Oregon following the "back to the country" ethos of the 1970's. Today their son, Morgan and his wife Jessica run the vineyard and the winery with the help of their two young daughters, Savanna and Olivia. Morgan's farming practices are meticulous and he truly believes that wine is made first in the vineyard. All grapes are grown sustainably on 33 acres of the red volcanic Jory and Hazelair soils of the Willamette Valley.

The Broadley Vineyards Pinot Noir is fermented in large, neutral wooden fermentors, and when the vintage is warm enough, Morgan will use whole-cluster fermentation for the wines. This 100% Pinot Noir is silky and pure with beautiful dark berry fruits and a bold finish. Enjoy with beef brisket, barbecue chicken or sloppy joe's.

Brilliant red. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes fresh dark berries, cola, incense and vanilla. A zesty mineral quality adds lift and bite to the sweet black raspberry and rose pastille flavors, with a smoky quality emerging on the back half. This suave wine finishes with even, building tannins and lingering spice character.

All de-stemmed fruit. Wild yeast fermentation. Fermented for 10-14 days in open top stainless steel (4.5 ton) and plastic bins (1.5)Two punch downs a day. In barrel 9-10 months neutral oak barrels.
