It serves as a perfect introduction to the wonderful variations in Cabernet Franc expression on the complex, varied soils of the appellation. The average age of the vines here is a little over 10 years.
On a 6-hectare plot of south-facing land located (no surprises here) at the very top of the estate, the land is worked and harvested by hand by sorting on tables at the end of the rows. Vinification here takes a low intervention approach, with no yeast and no chaptalisation.
