

Bodegas Atalaya Alaya 2018 |
This wine is made from Garnacha Tintorera grapes from old vineyards planted around 1000 metres above see level, on beds of limestone and sandy base with good drainage obtaining low yields and small berries. This wine remains 15 months in French oak and a small proportion of American oak barrels.
High, dense, dark cherry-colored robe with a purple rim. Impressive parade of aromas, featuring explosive notes of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blackcurrants, vanilla, cocoa, Mediterranean herbs, tobacco, withered leaves, chalk, mineral and wet earth. Meaty and bold. On the palate are ripe fruit, toast, smoke and spices underpinned by some mineral notions. A fresh acidity, yummy tannins and exceptionally long finish.
