• Blended malt and grain whisky produced by Matsui Whisky in Tottori, Japan • Malt whisky double copper pot distilled by Matsui’s Kurayoshi Distillery • Grain whiskies sourced from undisclosed distilleries • Proofed with the soft groundwater of Totorri Prefecture’s Mount Daisen • Aged in ex–bourbon barrels and finished in casks with sakura oak heads; non-age statement • Sandalwood, cinnamon, cherry blossom, cocoa powder, and lager beer precede a sweet palate of vanilla, salt-pickled cherry blossoms, dried mushroom, Play-Doh, leather, and soft oak tannin • Non-chill filtered; 40% ABV The latest from Matsui’s Tottori range of blended whiskies sees the classic bourbon-cask-matured Tottori expression finished in customized casks made of American oak staves and sakura oak heads, resulting in a cocktail-friendly whisky brimming with layers of flavorful malt, floral cherry blossom, and a touch of vanilla.
