• Blended malt and grain whisky produced by Matsui Whisky in Tottori, Japan • Malt whisky double copper pot distilled by Matsui’s Kurayoshi Distillery • Grain whiskies sourced from undisclosed distilleries in Japan • Non-age statement; aged up to 5 years in a combination of new, charred American oak and first-fill, ex-bourbon barrels • Proofed with the soft groundwater of Tottori Prefecture’s Mount Daisen • A nose brimming with grilled corn, cherry, and arugula precedes a spicy palate of red apple skin, peanut shell, and ginger before receding into warm vanilla, cinnamon, and oak tannin on the finish • Non-chill filtered; 43% ABV Significantly spicier than the standard Tottori Blended Whisky, the combination of new oak and first-fill, ex-bourbon casks provides a bold bourbon character to Matsui’s fruit-forward house style. A delightful sipper in its own right, the bourbon notes make this an excellent cocktail whisky—try it in a Julep with fresh shiso leaves!
