• Blended whisky produced by Akkeshi Distillery in Akkeshi, Japan • 11th release in Akkeshi’s 24 Sekki series • Distilled from Akkeshi single malt and sourced grain whiskies; some barley is lightly peated (PPM non-disclosed) • A primary component of whisky matured in Hokkaido mizunara casks is blended with whisky matured in a variety of casks including ex-bourbon, sherry, red wine, and rum • Minimum 3 years of age; non-age statement • A balanced blend of savory and sweet elements include golden apple, muscat grapes, and tropical fruit intermingled with charred wood, maple bacon, and white pepper • Non-chill filtered; 48% ABV Akkeshi’s 24 Sekki series seeks to evoke the micro seasons of the Japanese solar year, expressing seasonal nuance in liquid form. Shoman is the eight season, when spring growth reaches full flush, ripening and blooming.
