100% Sangiovese. 40% aged in steel, rest is aged in old wood barrels for 18 months. Considered mid range wine in the winery. Wonderful nose, game mixed with honey. One the pallette, honey, green peppers. High acidity. Light colored. A mid super Tuscan.
Light ruby pinkish rim. Initial nose of violets that disappeared, and many red fruits like red cherries strawberries raspberries. Under the palate strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, green tobacco leaves, sour cherries, bitter finish with grapefruit. High acidity, very mild tannins & medium aftertaste.
Overall a nice and young super Toscan, great for everyday drinking, yet not a great wine.
