Bergstrom 13 Bergstrom Pinot Noir

A true ruby color leads to a very complex aromatic perfume with layers of nuance: wet ferrous rocks, campfire, grilled meats, red and black cherries, currant, sweet baking spices, and oak sweetness with savory garden herbs. Typical of the Bergström Vineyard, the aromas are open and the palate is tight and in need of 3+ years in the cellar to begin to open up, but very powerful and showing lots of promise for a very long future.

In the mouth, this promising wine is very mineral and youthfully closed at first, but opens within a few minutes to showcase a definite sense of place with a sweet core of fruit and copious ripe tannin that frame this strong minerality.
