DESCRIPTION

  • 96 Points James Suckling A layered and lightly chewy red with currant, orange peel and hints of hazelnut. Fine tannins. Some pine, cedar, graphite, black currant and iodine. Perfumed. Tannins turn fine and bright. Excellent length and serious tension. One of the best I have had. A blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon, 15% petit verdot, 11% cabernet franc, 9% malbec and 5% merlot. Drinkable but will age nicely. Best in two or three years.

93 Points  Jeb Dunnuck A cuvee that was first made in 1990, the 2021 Tapestry Reserve is another large production release that brings the goods. More black fruits, chocolate, licorice, and dusty earth notes define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a layered, elegant mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. Bravo to the team at Beaulieu for delivering this level of quality at this production level.

91Points  Vinous The 2021 Red Wine Tapestry Reserve is a tasty Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend. Succulent dark red plum, mocha, licorice, spice and new leather are front and center. Soft, silky contours wrap it all together, adding to a sense of immediacy that is impossible to miss.

90 Points  Wine EnthusiastRipe aromas of black cherry, cola cream, cocoa dust and bitter wood converge on the nose of this bottling. The dark, slightly bitter cocoa of the palate offsets rich blackberry flavors, with ample acidity and dry tannins holding the frame.
