This classic Rhone Valley red is named after the polished river stones scattered throughout the river vineyards.
A Red wine from Côtes-du-Rhône, Southern Rhône, Rhone Valley, France. Made from Grenache, Carignan, Shiraz/Syrah. The name “Les Galets” refers to the small stones by the Rhône river that are found in the soil.
Intense nose of flowers (violets) and black fruits (black cherry, blackcurrant) combined with peppery hints. Full on the palate with a nice fruity and spicy aftertaste.
Spicy food, red meat in sauce, cheese. Best served between 61F and 65F. Pepper and blackberries on the nose, full bodied with notes of red currant and a dry, sweet cranberry aftertaste. Good legs. Excellent wine all round.
Very pleasant red Cotes du Rhone. Cherry, blackberry and oak in taste. Very pleasant acidity. 15% alcohol level.
