IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS

The wine has a silky, elegant, well-balanced taste with soft tannins and oak nuances. The finish is long and rich. Wine matches perfectly with venison, poultry and spicy cheeses. Make a decent pair of a good cigar. The distinctive aroma of the wine reveals persistent berry notes. The wine is dark red in color.

The Domaine ''Les Granges'' dates back to the 12th century, when it was owned by the cysterciens monks of Abbaye of Vertheuils. At the time, it was a very large vinyard area of 230 hectares (568 acres) and it extended across five church parishes in the Médoc region. Les Granges des Domaines Edmond de Rothschild is a skillful blend of classic grape varieties of the region : Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The result is a full and supple wine.
The vineyard soil ranges from clay, to a cly-limestone mixture, to limestone and hard limestone. It is ready for drinking now ! Its fullness, finesse and elegance will deliver the perfect accompaniment to your most refined dinning.
