Barone Ricasoli Chianti Classico Riserva Brolio 2015 |
Tasting Notes
Intense ruby red colour. Clear notes of strawberries, raspberries, spice and vanilla stand out on the nose. The wine is soft and enfolding on the palate; the right balance between acidity and tannins leaves a pleasant and persistent aftertaste in the mouth.
Ruby red in color with hints of black fruit, spice, and vanilla on the nose. Round mouthfeel with a balanced acidity and elegant tannins with a long and pleasant finish.
This wine was born from a selection of the grapes intended for the production of Brolio Chianti Classico. A traditional Reserve of distinctive Chianti character
Blend: 80% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon

The original and best
Granted, my view may be tainted by the fact that I first tasted this wine in the hills south of Florence, but I still believe it is a magnificent bottle. It has all the character of a grown up bottle of Chianti, and it finishes smooth as silk. This is a great wine to sit and sip, and it will stand up as a wine to present to company as well.
