Austere, with a good acid structure, mitigated by the typical softness of this harvest and the nuanced sapid notes. Part of the grapes comes from the highest vineyard, Pian delle Viti, called the Valle Sospesa in the Middle Ages. The calcareous soil gives a pleasant salty note. Biting Franciacorta in the marrow.
With sowing and planting we encourage the vitality of the soil to express the character and the temperament of a unique and unrepeatable vintage. The Franciacorta Barone Pizzini Saten is a vintage sparkling wine aged for 36 months on the lees in the bottle. It is very elegant and has a silky and creamy consistency but can also be energetic and refreshing, rich in citrus and mineral nuances.
