Matured on the nose of mostly seductive sweet plum and lightly dark souce. Yes, it is a feminine wine but not pinot noir women. Sweet dark cherries and plum with blackberries. Ending with tomatoes sauce!!! With bay leaves. Lightly chewy and sweet tannin on a medium acid structure.
Very good wine as well.
Well isn't this is a pricey little number! (£38 / half bottle from the Wine Society)
Deep garnet coloured.
Nose : Medium+ intensity. Herby (some cassis too?). Mint & nutmeg. Well integrated oak + leather and mushroom from the ageing.
Palate: black fruit developing into red fruit. Mint. Medium body. acidity & tannins after 9 years ageing. Dry.
Medium finish.
"Very good" (oh how these WSET ratings inspire me)
