• Nebbiolo from 'Vigna del Gris,' a single, historical vineyard located in the Ginestra cru of Monforte d’Alba • Planted in 1978 and 2000, the vineyard enjoys a southeastern exposure • Elevation of 300 - 320 meters with south and southeast exposures • Soils are characterized by sand, silt and clay • Hand harvested starting the middle of October • Fermentation and maceration in stainless steel for 12 - 15 days • Aging in French oak • First vintage was 1982 • 500 to 700 cases produced annually
