Aromas of celery, grilled vegetables and eucalyptus oil form the unusual nose. The full-bodied assertive palate offers the merest suggestions of prunes soaked in spirits, menthol, powdered sage and a hint of roasted coffee bean. Close-grained tannins generate a bracing, mouth-drying finish.
This opens with aromas of chopped celery, grilled herb and balsamic notes. On the palate, you'll find orange zest, licorice, powdered sage and caramelized onion alongside astringent tannins.
