Nice citrus notes. Good minerality, good acidity, and nice depth. Excellent summer wine or with sushi. What a brilliant experience! Very unexpected choice after a white oaked Rioja and an oaked Puglia white. The mellow appely pinots have a lot of depth and complexity, super mouthfeel, medplus acidity and a great finish.
40% Pinot Blanc from ABC's home Bien Nacido vineyard, 60% mostly bought in Pinot Gris. Like other Jim Clendenen wines I've had this is very good, balanced and self assured. Melon, pear, citrus, some good minerality. Alcohol quite prominent, although 13.5% not unusual for Californian PG. Richness from time on it's lees in old oak barrels. Moderate + acidity.
