DESCRIPTION
This traditional Rioja is made from 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano that is foot-trodden and then aged in French oak for a year. It is deliciously pure, with rich and pristine red berry fruit and spicy notes on the finish. Bodegas y Viñedos Artuke works with biodynamic vineyards that are scattered throughout Rioja Alavesa, a higher elevation sub-region that's really in the Basque Country.
Their final blend is based on terroir and climate rather than the DOC's classifications. If you are tired of heavily-oaked Rioja, this one's for you!
