Arboleda Sauvignon Blanc 2016 |
This attractive greenish-straw-yellow Sauvignon Blanc reveals intense aromas of grapefruit and lemon peel on the nose, all wrapped in fresh herbal notes. Its juicy acidity stands out on the palate along with refreshing fruit flavors. It is a vibrant wine with good persistence and an elegant finish.
Sourced from the Aconcagua Costa appellation, the 2016 Sauvignon Blanc is from a plot in the village of Quillota called El Pedregal (stony) that was planted in 2006. It fermented in stainless steel, with 10% whole clusters pressed and fermented in French barriques, where it matured with the fine lees for five months. It has pungent herbal flavors and a citric touch. The palate is dry, somehow austere, with a distinct bitterness in the finish.
