Aramis Syrah The Governor 2006

This wine is like the Cookie Monster, big and purple. Lots of plum, prune, violet aromas. There's some cool stuff going on in the background- earthy chocolate tones and baking spices. The ferocity of acid and tannins has faded somewhat with bottle age, leaving a wine at its peak. 

Very dark and full bodied. Sweet fruit on the nose. Cherries and hints of chocolate and pepper on the palate. Smooth and juicy.
