Single Vineyard Alizarine was introduced in 2001, making Alta Vista the first Argentine winery to produce single vineyard wines. This is Alta Vista's most precious vineyard as it is the vineyard from which they sourced the Malbec grapes for their first vintage of the iconic Alto in 1998.
With a 12-month ageing process in new French oak barrels, it is a powerful wine characterised by an appealing perfume of blackberries and boysenberry flavours including a subtle freshness that combines with firm and elegant tannins. Alizarine is a French word that defines intense red colours.
