Alois Lageder Pinot Bianco 2017 |
Pinot Bianco has been cultivated in Alto Adige since the mid-19th century and is one of the main white varieties in the region. It is to be found in all the wine-growing areas of Alto Adige and does particularly well on cooler sites at elevations between 300 and 500 meters (980 and 1640 feet) above sea-level. Our classic Pinot Bianco, which is made from grapes from select sites in Magrè, Cortaccia, Salorno, Pochi and Tesimo, strongly reflects the multilayered character of Alto Adige.
TASTING NOTES
Straw yellow with soft green reflections. The nose reveals a fresh, floral and delicate scent with notes of ripe fruit, apple and peach. On the palate it is balanced, harmonious, with a full and elegant body and a lively and moderately persistent aftertaste.
PAIRINGS
Excellent as an aperitif, it goes well with light appetizers, salads, asparagus dishes, freshwater fish and crustaceans of all kinds.
