Alheit La Colline Vineyard 2016

The  nose shows dried citrus skin, ripe orange/tangerine, baking spices and thatch. This wine is unusually complex, even for La Colline. The palate shows serious concentration and depth, kept in check by fine acidity. 13.5% alc.

 ‘La Colline Vineyard’ is composed of 100% old vine Semillon - 15% Semillon Gris, 85% Semillon Blanc. The wine displays a light straw color with slightly cloudy appearance. As it begins to slowly open in the glass it releases its completely exotic aromas of orange zest, lime, fresh jasmine along with a flinty mineral and saline character just to name a few. This continues to impress on the palate with its remarkable balance and gorgeous texture backed by lovely acidity and mineral streaks lasting through the finish.
