Albert Neumeister Morillon Steirische Klassik 2017 |
A variety frequently yielding simple wines. Yet, our hand-crafted, classic Sauvignon Blanc breaks the often dull and obtrusive aromas and flavors of this variety with profound spiciness, plenty of stuffing and a lingering aftertaste.
Morillon is a common name for the powerfully aromatic Chardonnay of Styria in southern Austria. It was a widely used Burgundian vine variety name in the Middle Ages and was, for example, an old name for Chardonnay in Chablis. Albert Neumeister Morillon Steirsche Klassik has aromas and flavors of apple, pear, and orange blossom. Elegantly integrated, lively acidity gives shape and lift to this enticing Chardonnay. Finishes with lingering notes of quince and refreshing acidity.
