IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS
The name "1000 stills" is a nod towards the bootlegging past of the Adirondacks, which they say was known as the "land of 1,000 stills." The white whiskey is made with a 100% base of corn grain, which is the traditional grain base for "authentic" moonshine from the eastern mountains of the US though bottled at a relatively gentle 80 proof. The Adirondack Distilling Company is located in Utica, New York and an homage to both local ingredients and the Adirondack Mountains. It was founded by Bruce Elwell, Steve Cox, and Jordan Karp in 2011 on a vision of high-quality spirits.
