Wagner-Stempel Weissburgunder Siefersheim 2015

Daniel Wagner's 2015 Siefersheim Weissburgunder is quite deep and intense on the nose; there are delicate sur-lie and mineral flavors are intertwined with ripe pip fruit aromas and a touch of new, but not toasty, oak flavors. Full-bodied, silky and very elegant on the palate, this is a round and generous Pinot.

It has a seductive fruit charge and a long, nicely mineral finish. This village wine is more round than the Gutwein and although its is already very charming, it will gain more precision and less prominent fruit flavors after one or two years of bottle age. Pretty Burgundian style filled into a tall Rhine wine bottle.
