Aromas of prune, pressed purple flower and powdered sage lift out of the glass along with a suggestion of rubber. The palate is ripe and full bodied, offering raisin, dried black cherry and a hint of exotic spice. Close-grained tannins give it a grippy finish.

This wine is made from grapes grown on two famous vineyards, both in the commune of Barolo: Sarmassa and Preda. Combining grapes from these two vineyards produces a well-balanced, harmonious wine packed with the fresher, more elegant aromas of Sarmassa and the power of the body and structure provided by Preda .

Very deep ruby-red; nose with hints of red berries steeped in delicate vanilla; dry, full taste, packed with body and structure combined with polyphenolic compounds that cater for lengthy ageing.
