Vina Zaco Rioja 2016

Deep, intense, cherry-red with violet hues; very lively. Spicy notes of licorice and dark fruit. Floral nuances of violets and jasmine. Hints of vanilla and mild toasty notes. Ample, generous, well-structured mouthfeel with rounded tannins for a superbly-balanced wine.

The nose is dark fruit and spice, pepper. The flavor is riper fruit, blackberry and pepper. Wood, moderate minerals, ash, slight citrus, are all in there. Complex flavors. Almost opaque, dark purple. The tannins are prominent. Acidic balance matches the other flavors perfectly.
