Madame Clicquot made the first blended rosé Champagne in 1818, mixing in a little red wine for color and flavor. The Brut Rosé carries that on: the house's Yellow Label style with a red-fruit twist, made to be generous and easy to enjoy.
The color is bright and the nose is intense: raspberry, wild strawberry and cherry, then a touch of dried fruit and pastry. On the palate it's powerful and fruity, with good balance and a clean, dry finish.
Serve it cold, around 45-48F, in a tulip glass. Rosé Champagne is more food-friendly than people think: try it with salmon, tuna, duck, charcuterie or a berry tart. It's a natural for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, brunch or any toast that calls for pink.
