Tommasi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2018 (94 Points James Suckling) |
This elegant ruby red wine is produced with indigenous grapes which are selected by hand and dried for 4 months prior to be gently pressed. The Amarone is then aged for 3 years in Slovenian oak barrels. The 2018 vintage shows a warm, ripe scent on the nose that is intense and of great refinement. It is a full bodied wine with lots of cherry notes and plum flavors.
Best with red meats, game, and aged cheese, Tommasi Amarone is also the ideal companion to enjoyable conversations.

Delicious
this is the most delicious wine that I have ever tasted.
Lack of transperancy
I specifically asked if the Amarone was available when I ordered. Months later it was finally shipped while my best friend and I wondered what had gone wrong. She's over the moon with the wine. I'm fuming in the pit over the unnecessary concern over where it was. Truth would have been much kinder.
