Isle of Arran Distillers is situated off the southwest coast of Scotland in the village of Lochranza on the Isle of Arran. Their premium, hand-crafted whiskies are made from some of the purest mountain waters in Scotland and are widely recognized as some of the finest malts in the world. Arran is the first of the new wave of Scotch distillers built exclusively to produce single malt rather than blends. Isle of Arran is the only distillery on the island and remains an independent company.
A limited edition, double matured 12 year old Scotch that combines the best of Arran with the restrained sweet fruit and oak notes of Amarone. A concentrated and elegant effort that presents aromas of poached pears, honey and toasted almonds and whiffs of sweet red berries. With water, flavors of coffee, chocolate orange, mellow butterscotch, sweet stewed fruits and Turkish delight come to the fore. Pronounced notes of ripe dark plum integrate with sweet cinnamon and slightly bitter almonds on the long and elegant finish.
