94 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, the Tenuta di Trinoro 2022 Le Cupole remains one of Italy's greatest value buys, especially for fans of concentrated, sun-drenched Tuscan reds. The fruit is ripe, but not overripe, and there are thick layers of blackcurrant and Morello cherry at the core. These are framed by toasted spice and cinnamon. The wine is medium to full-bodied, although the ample fruit weight gives this vintage a bigger overall mouthfeel.

It was aged for eight months in barriques, followed by an additional 12 months in concrete tanks before bottling. In the glass, it reveals a ripe floral perfume of preserved strawberries, baked cherries, vanilla, crushed flowers, and sage. Full-bodied, it offers plush tannins, ripe acidity, and a savory finish. It's approachable and provides a lot of immediate pleasure, yet it should also easily drink well for another decade.

This blend of 57% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Petit Verdot has gorgeous dark berry aromas with pretty floral overtones. In the mouth it's focussed and vertical, with crunchy red and black berries and a balsamic overtone, finishing with plenty of spice and a long, bright line of acidity.
