Seghesio Family Vineyards Zinfandel Sonoma County 2017 |
Wine Spectator 91 points - Plump and supple, with soft raspberry, toasted spice and licorice flavors that glide along a silky finish. Drink now through 2023. 76,500 cases made. -TF.April/2019
Our family roots are firmly planted in Zinfandel. Grandpa Edoardo Seghesio planted Zinfandel on our Home Ranch in Alexander Valley in 1895. Today, we, his grandchildren, share his passion as we farm over 200 acres of estate Zinfandel in Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys. This wine originates from sites that have produced Zinfandel for over a century, as well as newer sites that utilize proprietary clones and the most advanced viticultural practices.

Seghesio Family Vineyards Zinfandel 2017
The wine is clear and moderate intensity. It has a medium ruby core moving to pale ruby at the rim. The wine is healthy with medium intensity and a developing bouquet. There are flavors of cigar, cedar and tobacco. The wine is a off dry with low acidity, high tannin and flavors of cedar, black licorice and black berry seeds.. It has a full body with high alcohol and a long finish.

Seghesio
Sent out in a timely manner. I saw that Wine Spectator rated this a 93, but I would give this wine a 90 rating at best. Still a good deal for $20.
Great first time experience
Flawless. Would definitely buy again if the price is right.
