The 2017 Ronchi di Cialla Verduzzo is a sweet, white wine from Italy's Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. It's made from 60% Ribolla Gialla, 30% Verduzzo, and 10% Picolit grapes, and is organically farmed.
It's viscous but not cloying, with a balanced acidity that complements its luscious flavors of peach, candied apricot, hazelnut, citrus, stone fruit, honeydew melon, and chamomile. It is exotic and fresh, with a bouquet of florals, young peach, and green melon, and an inner sweetness that's complicated by salty minerals.
