Nero d'Avola is Sicily's most planted red grape, and Tasca d'Almerita has grown it at Tenuta Regaleali in the centre of the island for generations. Pale ruby, with cherry, raspberry and currant over Mediterranean brush and cooking spice, a little star anise. Medium bodied with polished tannins. Made to drink young.
