Querceto di Castellina names this one for the numbers behind it: 6.6 hectares planted at 6,666 vines a hectare. All Sangiovese, and Gran Selezione is the top tier of Chianti Classico. Wild strawberry, roasted tomato and herbs over tar and licorice, then cherry, sandalwood and a bite of salty dark chocolate. Medium bodied and creamy with plush, silky tannins and a precise finish.
