Pinotage from old unirrigated bush vines in the Swartland and Paarl, where the low yields give concentration. Aged in French and American oak, twenty percent new. Dark fruit with toast and cedar, seasoned by tobacco leaf and prune, then a juicy palate of blackberry and raspberry with peppercorn and toasted oak on the finish. Smooth tannins, balanced acidity.
