Pacific Rim Riesling Sweet 2018 |
The nose is perfumed in aromas of jasmine, orange blossom, ripe peach and lime.
Quite sweet tea flavors follow on the palate, showing lively acidity to offset the ripeness. A Mandarin orange note lingers on the finish.
Ideal with fiery fare – especially Thai, Szechwan, Mexican, Middle Eastern and Caribbean cuisine.

Best I have found
I first had this riesling at a restaurant in Seaside, Or. I immediately asked the waitress what brand it was. When I got back home to Idaho I was thrilled to find that it was sold locally at a few stores. The burst of different flavors is like an explosion in my mouth. Other rieslings that I have had have a bitterness to them but not Pacific Rim. My only complaint is that purchasing it online is nearly double ($6.00) of what it costs in a local store. At this time (2020) it is becoming scarce in the stores, so had hoped to get it online.
Light tasty sweet wine
First sip of this chilled riesling was delightful. It is not as sweet as a moscato and that is what I was looking for. Fine to drink on its own as a dessert wine and pairs nicely with seafood.
