The wine itself is bright and vibrant, this opens to pretty aromas of cherries and red berries which are followed by spices, dried rose petals, dried soil, minerals and a subtle hint of tar. On the palate this shows wonderful freshness and is beautifully balanced with lovely focus. Silky and elegant, this gorgeous Bourgogne is drinking marvelous today, but it should also go on to offer at least a decade long drinking window ahead. Excellent Value.
In all circumstances it will accompany Burgundian cooking, but it can also surprise when paired with an inventive cuisine, such as a scented beef carpaccio or lamb mignon with a coriander crust.
