Michael David is the Phillips family winery in Lodi, California, where they have farmed for generations. This Cabernet Sauvignon is sustainably farmed, blended with small amounts of Merlot and Petit Verdot and aged in French oak.
It's a rich, opulent style. Expect zesty dark fruit, blackberry and cassis, with vanilla and spice from the oak and a smooth, round finish. Lodi's warm days give generous, ripe flavors.
Serve it around 60-64F. It goes well with burgers, barbecue, grilled steak and pizza. An easy, crowd-pleasing Cabernet at a friendly price, good for parties or a weeknight steak. Michael David also makes the bold Earthquake range, so they know how to make a generous, easy red.
