This approachable bourbon from Lasso Motel Distillery blends a mash bill of corn, wheat and malted barley for a softer grain profile, fermented on site and distilled in a copper hybrid still. After a minimum four years in new American oak barrels-hand-charred to L3 specifications and stored in the distillery's rickhouses-the bourbon develops classic notes of honeyed caramel, fresh-baked biscuit and baking spice. The Bardstown climate's seasonal swings encourage optimal oak seasoning, while the limestone-rich water yields a round, polished texture. The final expression highlights soft wheat sweetness balanced by gentle spice and a lingering vanilla-cream finish.
