• Moonshine produced by Neeley Family Distillery in Sparta, Kentucky • Distilled from corn and cane sugar using a historical family recipe unchanged since 1913 • Open-top, sweet mash fermented in cypress vats using wild Appalachian yeast • Triple copper pot distilled; the third distillation is run through a copper thumper • Buttered corn, ripe Granny Smith apple, baked bread, and a touch of sweet cream on the nose prime the palate for creamed corn, sweet grass, and hints of red fruit • Non-chill filtered; 60.1% ABV Available legally for the first time in 2017, Neeley Family Distillery’s Kentucky Moonshine has provided the fuel for the Neeley’s long, storied history of Appalachian bootlegging for eleven unbroken generations of distillers and moonshiners. Distilled from a closely guarded recipe unchanged since 1913, when Royce Neeley’s great grandfather modified the family’s original recipe with the addition of sugar, this moonshine is triple distilled and utilizes a thumper charged with calcium-rich, limestone filtered water. After coming off the still at a fiery 63.5% ABV, the spirit is gently proofed down to a formidable 60.1%—the same ABV as the moonshine Royce illegally distilled and sold in college.
