DESCRIPTION
Kanonkop has made Pinotage on the Simonsberg slopes since 1973 and is often called a South African first growth. Fermented in open concrete vats with the cap punched down for about a week, then twelve to eighteen months in French oak. Liquorice, black pepper and pink peppercorn with a lift of mint, then cranberry and red berry over finely textured tannins and real acidity.
